Dear Minick Family:
I was saddened to hear of Kris’ passing. I am sorry that I was away during this difficult time. I will always remember Kris’ kindness and love for everyone she ever met. I still recall my first job at the Palmer House working with Kris with dear fondness.
I have no doubt that her love will continue to touch all of our lives.
If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

I am Kris’ second cousin. I have very fond memories of our family get togethers throughtout our childhood. I can only say that I was absolutely stunned to read the notice of Kris’ passing in the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel. I wanted to let her family know that my thoughts and prayers go out to them at this most difficult time.
I will never forget seeing the consistent smile on Kris’ face. My family and I are from Waynesville area, NC and just currently moved to VA, my mom called me and told me as soon as she heard and I just could not believe it, but you know God says that when your work is done he will take us home to be with him. I know that in Kris’ life time she touched a lot of peoples lives and helped in every area possible. She helped my parents a lot with homeshooling me and my brother, I remember going to school at Tuscola and talking with Mr. Minick he is such a great man of God, I was close to him and his family. I will never forget the great times that I had being around your family. I will pray for you and your’s as I already have and I know that the Lord will keep using you Mr. Minick. God Bless you and your family and let the children see that the Lord is there for them. Thank God for such a powerful family of God.
Jeff and family, I send my deepest sympathy and prayers. Kris was an inspiration to me, as a mother and deeply devout christian. I will always remember her smile and the chats we had when your Kaylie and my Robert were in youth group in the church basement.
Dear Friends,
It has been so wonderful to have such a tremendous outporing of love for our family. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and concern.
Karyl Boyd (Kris’ sister)
Dear Family of Kristine,
I knew Kris as a fellow nursing educator at WCU. We had many conversations over lunch while supervising student clinicals. She was always so energetic and supportive of the students. Kris will be missed so much.

I first met Kris in 1989 when I was but a teenager, working during the summers at the Palmer House Bed & Breakfast and also at their bookstore on Main St.
It was a terrific summer job and I truly enjoyed spending time and getting to know Kris, Jeff, Jake and Kaylie.
I’ll never forget those wonderful days and it saddens me a great deal to hear of Kris’ passing.
I offer my deepest condolences to all the members of her family.
Dear Jeff,
We are so sorry about your loss. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Love and Blessings to all of you.
Dear Jeff,
Please accept my deep sympathy at this incredibly difficult time…I was stunned to hear of Kris’s sudden health problems, and had been praying with and for you these past few days…you and she were always so supportive and helpful when I came to buy books…I always enjoyed chatting with you both, and appreciated the way you both went the extra mile to offer assistance to homeschoolers…I pray that the God who gave you Kris will now give you what you need to live without her, although how He will do that is above and beyond our thoughts at this grievous time…again, my deepest sympathy, Patti Harper
We are very sorry to hear of your loss. We thought the world of Kris and her family. May God bless you and get each one of you through these trying times. We love all of you and are constantly praying for you.

Kris touched my life in many ways. I’ll always remember her sweet smile and loving ways. She was a wonderful person, I am saddened by her passing. I got to know her through homeschooling our children, many fieldtrips and soccer games.
Our prayers are with you and we are confident that our Lord Jesus will comfort you and strengthen you all during this time of grief. He will never place more on you than you can handle through His grace. Stay strong in Him and depend on His great love for you.
All our love in Christ Jesus,
Ron, Kathi, Tyler and Jerica Woodle<><
Kris was always willing to share ideas and listen. I was going through some photos recently and came across one of some of us ‘homeschool moms’ at the park. Kris was pregnant with Jeremy, she was so beautiful!
Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
Steve and I send prayers of strength and love to Jeff and the family.
