Kyle Bruce McCulloch, 42, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023.
Born on September 20, 1980, in Buncombe Co., Kyle was a son of the late Robert Eugene McCulloch and Karen Hope Dale McCulloch.
Kyle attended Appalachian State University, and received a Masters degree in Toxicology from the University of South Alabama. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved fishing and being on the water.
Kyle spent much of his childhood outdoors and valued family and nature above all else. It was obvious how brilliant he was from a very young age, and he could easily debate philosophical perspectives while he fixed the brakes on your car. He was truly a jack of all trades, and a friend for life once you knew him. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was always partial to Bojangles and his mom’s meatloaf.
Kyle excelled at everything he set his mind to. As an environmental consultant, he assisted in many conservation efforts around his chosen second home of Mobile Bay. He was ever a leader and pioneer in protecting wildlife.
Surviving are his children, Fiona Hope McCulloch (9) and Graeme Robert McCulloch (6); his brother, Chris McCulloch, wife Andrea, Ben and Jessica, and brother, Chad McCulloch. Kyle will be missed by many.
A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Hill United Methodist Church, 277 Oak Hill Rd., Candler, NC 28715.
