LaFairy Diane Grant

LaFairy Diane Grant went to be an angel on Wednesday, December 6, 2000. She left behind in loving memory her daughter, Donna Lynn Vallejo and son, Thomas William Lee Grant, along with three grandchildren, Marina Nicole Vallejo, Alondra Diane Vallejo and Janessa Elaine Grant. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Katherine McAbee of Asheville. Diane was a member of Gospel Tabernacle in Asheville. In addition to her children, she is survived by her brothers, Jimmy Roger Howard of Asheville and Charles Lee McAbee Jr. of Winston Salem; sisters, Vera Logan of Weaverville, Bonda Gilbert of Fletcher and Mona Pinner of Asheville. Friends and family services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Gospel Tabernacle on 202 Brickyard Rd., Asheville, phone 779-4409. Reverend Eugene Dodd will officiate with burial following in New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Willie Surratt, Joshua Martin, Virgil Redmon, David Redmon, Jason Aytes, and Danny Grant. The family will receive friends 7-9:00 p.m. Friday at Gospel Tabernacle.
