Laura Brock Colasent, 45, of 274 Curtis Creek Road, Candler, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 24, 2005, at her home.
A native of Buncombe County, she was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine C. Brock and by a sister Karen Brock. She was a homemaker and attended The Rock and The Dwelling Place.
She was a loving mother who was devoted to her children, Patricia Colasent and James (J.D.) Colasent. She is also survived by her father, Perry Pinkney Brock of Candler; three sisters Pam Hamilton of Asheville, Marcia Brock of Candler and Susan Cortes of Asheville; two brothers Perry P. Brock, Jr. of Texas and David Anthony Brock of Candler, and many other family and friends who will miss her deeply.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to her children in care of Wachovia Bank.
