CANDLER – Lawrence Jerry Lipe, 66, of 210 Kayce Court, died Monday, June 7, 2010.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Albert R. and Lethia Moser Lipe. He was a saw mill operator and a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his wife, Patsy Hargett Lipe; a daughter, Linda Bon and husband, Greg; two sons, James A. Lipe and Lawrence J. Lipe, Jr.; grandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Bon; great-grandchildren whom he adored, Caleigh Bon and Chrystina Bon; and five sisters, Mary Lou Maynor, Dixie Beachboard, Maxine Hipps, Elizabeth Reese and Betty Jones. He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Sunrise Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. John Tiller officiating.

I was so very sorry to hear about the passing of Lawerence. He was a special person. In the 27 years I knew him he was always joking and had some thing funny to say. Always remember him in that way.
