Lee Michael Cutshall, 58, of Arden, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Frankie Junior and Gail Roberts Cutshall. Lee was a graduate of Enka High School and played basketball at both Brevard College and USC-Spartanburg before graduating from Appalachian State University and becoming a huge Mountaineers fan. He also loved the Green Bay Packers and was a Mason. He loved his two children dearly and will be forever missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children, Jon Cutshall and Maggie Cutshall; one brother, Rex Cutshall and his wife, Jan and their two daughters, Chari Moss and Staci Phillips. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Lee's name to Four Seasons Compassion For Life (https://fourseasonscfl.thankyou4caring.org/sslpage.aspx?pid=298%20). A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 12 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, officiated by Rev. Rick McCarson. His family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

  1. Lee was a special man/cousin. I know he will be missed. Lots of LOVE SYMPATHY and PRAYERS to ALL the family and friends.

He i sitting there in Heaven at that grand piano playing the most beautiful rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic. He is now resting in the arms of Jesus with Frank and Gail.   18. Rex and family, I was sad to learn Lee had passed away. I wish he’d been able to attend the Enka Class of ’76 reunion, but he was still recovering from surgery. He was missed by all! Prayers for you during this difficult time.
