Leila Leta Reese Easterly, 90, of Weaverville, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018.
A native of Madison Co., Leila was a daughter of the late Cecil and Esther Dockery Reese. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ralph G. Easterly, Sr., and 13 of her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Easterly is survived by her daughters, Marian Aldridge (Fayne), and Becky Souther; sons, Ralph Glenn Easterly, Jr. (Carolyn), Joseph L. Easterly (Michelle), and James Carl Easterly (Chandra); brother, Oakley Reese; nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Easterly will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. Rev. Rocky Reese, her nephew, will officiate. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
