Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Lelia was a wonderful woman. She was so proud of her family, her boys and Linda. She the last time we talked she remembered me,after so many years, and we talked as if it was only a few days since we had been together. Lelia told me to take care of my children and to remember that there is always a reason. She was a gentle and wise woman. I thought of her often. Lovingly, Mitzi Jacobs Rodriguez

  2. Aunt Leila was a very special person in my life, as a child I have fond memories of visiting with my very special Aunt. I always felt welcome and enjoyed talking with Leila as she was so loving and easy to talk with. In later years my family and I would take vacations and visit, no matter when we arrived we were always welcomed with open arms. Leila was proud of all her children and they to follow in her footsteps in making you feel at home and comfortable when you visit. I will cherish these memories for all my life.

  3. Leila Hanner was a wise and wonderful lady. It was a privilege to have her as a neighbor and we think of her every time we look across the road and see her house. We miss her still. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

  4. Dear Terry, David, Tom and Linda,
I’m sorry I cannot be with you at today’s services for your mother. I would have liked to represent some of the many people she inspired during her long and busy life. Working woman, mother, farmer’s wife, she did it all with grace, energy, warmth and generosity. Thinking of her brings back so many fond memories of your family and my childhood visits to the farm. I know how hard the work was for you all, but it was always a special place, and Leila was the center that held it together. She will always be in my memories. Ann Jacobs Sears
