LEILANI NEWELL WALKER
LeiLani Regina Newell Mosley Walker, age 32, of Greensboro, NC, died Friday, October 26, 2001, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Born in Levittown, PA, she was a daughter of Regina D. Newell and the late Eugene J. Newell, Sr. She worked as a universal tracking agent for a shipping service. She enjoyed music, art and public relations.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her three children, Antony Joseph Newell-Mosley, William Clyde Mosley, III and Hope Anne Mosley all of Asheville; one sister, Mei-Ling Dennin and her husband Randy of Brownton, MN; one brother, Eugene J. “Joe” Newell and his wife Sheena of Leicester; three half-sisters, Celeste Verschelde of Las Vegas, NV, Jaqueline Arsenault and Marquita Lawson both of San Diego, CA; one half- brother, Robert Newell of Conshohocken, PA and her husband, Bobby E. Walker of Greensboro.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Blake officiating. Burial will follow at Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family will accept donations on behalf of the children.
Leilani was the very first friend I made at Erwin High School when I moved to Asheville from Weaverville. I hate that she is gone, she will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
