Lennette S. Hensley Naves

Born and raised in Brasstown, Clay County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Harley E. and Pearl Hampton Scroggs. She was preceded in death by her first husband Jay W. Hensley of Skyland and a sister Kate Reece Gore of Tabor City, NC. She attended Meadow Brook Baptist Church for a number of years and later attended Grassy Branch Baptist Church in Oteen.

She is survived by her loving husband, James A. Naves; three daughters, Linda Hensley Davis of Clarkesville, GA, Carolyn D. Watson of Black Mountain, Debra A. Hughes of Corpus Christi, TX; two sisters, her twin Jeanette S. Rice of Swannanoa, and Grace S. Beale of Asheville; three brothers, H.H. Scroggs of Asheville, Frank Scroggs of Candler, Mark Scroggs of Brasstown, NC; two grandsons, Chris Davis of Swannanoa, Dean Davis of Athens, GA; nine nephews and ten nieces.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Reverend Everette Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills cemetery.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
