LILLIAN ETHEL GORDON Lillian Ethel Gordon, 97, formerly of Kensington Drive, Asheville, died Monday, August 9, 2004, at the Oaks at Sweeten Creek. Mrs. Gordon was born in Alabama and was a daughter of the late Walter and Gladys Bailey Hindmon. She was a former resident of Wachula, FL and was married to Herbert Lee Gordon who died in 1974. Surviving are one daughter, Judy G. Blankenship and her husband Danny Smyers of Greeneville, TN; one son, Charles W. Gordon and his wife Celia of Candler; three grandchildren, Teresa Lynn Porter, Johnny Gordon and Alan Gordon; great-grandchildren Chad Davis, Jason Jones, Rachel Gordon and Callie Gordon; one great-great-grandchild Nicholas Cole Davis; one sister, Mary Julia Johnson of Anderson, SC; a brother Graylon Hindmon of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. On Tuesday her family will be at the home of her son Charles at 298 Luther Road, Candler. Private interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
