Lilly King Tomlinson, 77, died Saturday, August 15, 2009. Mrs. Tomlinson was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Norvil and Alzura King. She was the wife of the late John Tomlinson. Mrs. Tomlinson was retired from Vanderbilt Shirt Co. and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She is survived by her sister, Flossie Worley and her husband, Paul, of Candler and several special nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Interment will follow at West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Aston Park HCC Alzheimer's Unit, 380 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC 28806.

  2. I have alot of good memories of Aunt Lilly when we lived on Pisgah, we would go down to her house every Saturday night and watch HeeHaw with her and John. She was to herself type of person,and she was always sweet to me. Audrey and I will miss going to the nursing home to see her and doing her nails for her.

I was always happy to see Aunt Loily around and am happy that she is with our Heavenly Father waiting therejust for all of us for that great reuion in the sky!Lily never bothered anyone and she is a wonderful person.Lily got the best Blessing and that was the blessing of getting to see heaven and we all we see her when time shuts up.God Bless the family and many people who took car her.Love you all,

  4. We are going to miss Lilly’s sweet smile. We had alot of fun and laughter here at Aston Park during activity groups and one on one visits. My daughter loved visiting with Lilly and will miss her dearly. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Lilly with truly be missed.

  7. We will miss Ms. Tomlison at Aston Park Health Care Center. She had become a part of our big family. I will especially remember our talks in the hallway and dining room and her sweet smile.
