Lily Peace Johnson

April 17, 1917 ~ November 14, 1999

Newnan, GA - Lily Peace Johnson, formerly of Arden, died Sunday November 14, 1999, at the home of her son in Newnan.

A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Ted and Leona Lanning Peace and wife of the late Stewart Johnson who died in 1985.
She was a charter member of Arden First Baptist Church and retired from the J.C. Penney Co. in 1975.

She is survived by her son, Ed S. Johnson and his wife Jacqueline of Newnan; a sister, Mary Snodgrass of Port Charlotte, Florida; a brother, Ted Peace of Morristown, Tenn. and three grandchildren, Todd and Toby Johnson both of Asheville and Erica Ewing of Newnan.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Rev. P. Ollis Revels officiating. Interment will be in Shepherd Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home on Long Shoals Road.
