Linda Marie McMinn Barnes, 59, of Arden, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of Swain Ballard and of the late Judy King Ballard. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Kimberly Case.

Linda was a 20+ year employee at the Corner Grill in Arden, where she worked as a waitress and cashier. She was a former president of the Smoky Mountain Hog Chapter and a dedicated advocate for and supporter of Toys For Tots.

In addition to her father, Linda is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Barnes; one daughter, Ashley McMinn Tabor (Robert); two sons, Derek McMinn (Ashly) and Cory McMinn; step-children, Tonya Barnes and Jeremy Barnes and five grandchildren, Reilly McMinn, Payton McMinn, Haylee Heller, Carter Heller and Sadie Heller.

At Linda’s request, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Toys For Tots (www.toysfortots.org) or to the Buncombe County Animal Shelter, 16 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville NC 28806.

Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian team is assisting the family.
