Linda Parham Gasperson, 69, of Skyland, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mandy Clontz Parham and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Junior, Charles and Jackie Parham. She is survived by her dear husband, Ray Gasperson; her loving son, Tim and his wife Christie; her precious grandson, Jacob; her sister, Nancy Gibson and her dear aunt Lucille Parham. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 6 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 270 Overlook Road, Asheville, NC 28803 (just off of Long Shoals Road) with Pastor Cecil Robinson officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery and the family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. The family wishes to thank CarePartners Hospice for their loving care of Linda. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

You have been such a wonderful husband and we know she loved and appreciated everything you did for her. She is in the Lord’s loving embrace and is at peace. Prayers for you and the family.

  2. Ray, I was saddened to hear of Linda’s passing. I have fond memories of Linda’s thoughtfulness when she would send Mother Cherry Cheesecakes at Christmas time which Mother enjoyed and appreciated very much. I will keep you near in heart and may you find peace and comfort in wonderful memories.
