Asheville ~ Lloyd Jack Williams, 64, of Mills Gap Road, died Tuesday, October 31, 2000 in a Henderson County hospital.

A native of Buncombe County, Mr. Williams was the son of the late Melvin Furman Williams and Kessie Lance Williams and the husband of Gloria McMahan Williams.

Mr. Williams was retired from Asheville Waste Paper and attended Skyland Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Williams is survived by one daughter, Patricia Justus of Saluda; three sons, Trent Williams of Arden, Terry Williams of Asheville and Kenneth Williams of Mills River; two sisters, Beatrice Dunlap of Emma and Mary Rogers of Skyland; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 3 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Rev. Greg Corn officiating. Interment will immediately follow in New Salem Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Skyland Baptist Church Building Fund, 2115 Hendersonville Rd., Arden, NC 28704.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is in charge of arrangements.
