Lloyd R. Watson

August 26, 1943 ~ July 8, 1999

Lloyd R. Watson, 55, of 7 Pine Street, Enka, died Thursday, July 8, 1999, at his home.

Mr. Watson was born in McDowell County and was a son of the
late Annie Mae Hall Watson. He retired from American Enka and was a member of the West Asheville Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Turner Watson; a son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd R. and Janet Watson, II; a grandson, Christopher L. Watson; his father and step-mother, Lloyd A. and Elizabeth C. Watson;
and two sisters, Carol Walsh of Asheville and Hazel Watson of Winston-Salem.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Ashelawn
Gardens of Memory.

His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home and at other times will be at his son’s residence, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Asheville (254-3604).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund for Mr. Watson’s wife through the West Asheville Church of God, 60 State
Street, Asheville, NC 28806.
