I helped talk care of lois at aston park. I loved her, She was a wonderful woman and even in her old age she still had a radient glow about her. She will definately be missed.
Miss Hutchins was my 2nd grade teacher and she taught me a lot, to say the least. At that time I thought she was very strict and I was afraid of her; but learned to respect her. I wish to pay my respects to her family and friends that loved her, and will keep her memory with me always. May God bless her family. Marie Cole Clark

Mrs. Hutchins was my first grade teacher at Leicester 1950-1951. Thanks to her, I learned to read and had a great beginning in school. She was a wonderful teacher. I too became an educator. When I was honored as Principal of the Year in 1990, she came to my recognition program at West Buncombe School and spoke about me as a former student. She will be greatly missed.
God’s Blessings at your time of loss.

I need to correct my prior condolences/memories of Mrs. Hutchins. She was a first grade teacher; but not my teacher. I had Mrs. Britt. I was confusing Mrs. Hutchins with Ms Kuykendall who was my second grade teacher. However, I did know Mrs. Hutchins; she was a great, wonderful teacher, whom I really admired and respected. Everyone loved Mrs. Hutchins as a teacher as well as a friend. We will all miss her very much. My prayers and thoughts are with her family at this time. May God grant you peace, and grant you all a wonderful Christmas season.
Dear Phyllis and Cecil,
I was saddened to hear of Lois’ passing but also glad to know that she is now into her new life with The Lord. I knew her chiefly through Cecil’s faith, integrity, and kindness. I have spent all year considering my life at UNCA, and I keep coming back to the people, like both of you, who I admire and who represent the best of the school. My prayers and best wishes go to you at this time of year knowing that your Christmas celebration will be dedicated to Lois’ life. Kippy and I will be in Tennessee On Friday and Saturday, but we will be with you in spirit. God Bless you and your wonderful family.
Dear Gary, Cecil, and Virginia, We are so sorry to hear about your mother. My she lived such a long life of service until the last few years I understand. Still it is always a loss to give up a loved one. Our thoughts are with you all this season and our prayers include you all.

Dear Gary, Brenda and Family,
I have been a part of your family for over thirty-five years and when sadness comes to you, it also comes to me. Your Mother was a wonderful woman and it was a privilege knowing her. She is now in the embrace of the Lord, with all our Love.

Ms. Hutchins was my first grade teacher at Leicester Elementary. She was a teacher emmaculate, she was fair, stern, but always willing to go the extra mile to help a little first grade country boy. She was special to me and will always be in my memories. Our prayers are with the family during your time of loss. I know she is teaching little angels in heaven now. May God bless and keep you all in his loving arms during this time and always. Bob (Gordon) Lester and family.
