Lorena “Rena” Lowe Henderson Fulghum, 94, of 60 Gudger Road, Candler, died Friday, November
19, 1999, at the home of her daughter, Marie Ray, in Weaverville.

Mrs. Fulghum was born in
Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Silas James Lowe and Mary Louise Rector Lowe.  She was also preceded in death by her first
husband, Richard Franklin Henderson.

She was a former resident of New York City where she worked at Macy’s Department Store and was a member of the Stuyvesant-Parthenon Chapter #693, Eastern Star.  She was a Right Worthy Matron and Grand
Representative of New Mexico.  In Asheville, she was a member of Abernethy United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Ezra Fulghum;   a daughter, Marie Ray of Weaverville;
and two sisters, Nellie Conner and Alice Jackson of Asheville.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Dr. James H. Johnson and
the Eastern Star, Biltmore Chapter No. 38, officiating.  Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Smith and Frank Brank.

Her family will receive
friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
