Lorraine M. Daly, 62, of Fletcher, NC and formerly of Franklin, MA, died Sunday, December 31, 2006, following a brief illness. A native of Walpole, MA, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Helen Thompson MacDonald. Mrs. Daly is survived by her husband of 41 years, William J. Daly; one daughter, Sharon E. O’Connor of Suwanee, GA; two sons, Christopher M. Daly of Rexford, NY and Michael S. Daly of Celebration, FL; three grandchildren and three brothers, Russell MacDonald of Clearwater, FL, James MacDonald of Walpole, MA and John MacDonald of Norwood, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church with Father Dean Cesa officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard in Fletcher, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 on Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden, NC with a rosary said at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to any local Humane Society.

  5. We have so many special memories of Lorraine. From childhood, her singing \\\Happy Days are here again\\\’ at the bus stop to sitting with her as an adult conversing about motherhood. She will be terribly missed by all of us. We are praying for her family for the strength to get thru. We love you all.’
