Mary Louise Curtis Plemmons, 87, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Mission Hospital. Born in Candler, she was a daughter of the late Robert Frank and Elva Louise Watts Curtis, and she was married to Hardy W. Plemmons, who died in 2012. She was a member of Crossroads Assembly and had worked at American Enka. Surviving are her sister, Martha Curtis, five nephews, and two nieces. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Chuprevich officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery, Candler. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

  5. I’m SO sorry I couldn’t make the funeral. I thought I knew how to get to the funeral home, but seemed to have wrong directions, and couldn’t find it, and finally had to give up & come home. I loved Louise, and wanted to honor her by attending her funeral. My heartfelt condolences to her family!
