Born in: Ekmon, WV
Resided in: Hendersonville, NC

Louise Frances Ross Vincil, 92, passed peacefully to her eternal home on December 1, 2021.

A native of Eckmon, WV, Mrs. Vincil was a daughter of the late Archie and Geraldine Phelps Ross. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Roger, Richard and Jack Vincil, Jr., brother, Buddy Ross, and sister, Juanita Dawson.

Louise was an independent, strong-willed mother. She was an extremely hard worker, having worked at CTS, the Enka plant, and finally for the US Forest Service where she had the most enjoyment.

She was an avid outdoorswoman, who loved to camp, fish and travel. She also enjoyed a good Bingo game or going to the casino, especially with her sister Juanita. Later in life, she loved to attend her grandchildren’s sporting and school events. She was frequently found front porch swinging and feeding her beloved squirrel Sammy.

Mrs. Vincil is survived by her daughters, Linda (Dan) Whitfield and Robin (the late Dale) Reese; grandchildren, Tommy (Holly) Vincil, John (Erin) Matts, Dustin (Anai) Reese, Sara (Trevor) Reese and Kate Reese; great-grandchildren, Briley, Georgia and Cade; and special friends, Heidi and Ashley.

The family would like to thank the Four Seasons Hospice Team: Jennifer (nurse), Dr. Hovendon, Meg (Social Worker), Tracy (Chaplain), and Suzie and Kathy (aides).

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, at Riverside Cemetery.
