Louise Ledwell

Mrs. Ledwell was born in Fairview and was a daughter of the late C.L. and Susan Redmon Jenkins and was married to Theodore J. Ledwell who died in 1974. She was the oldest member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the GIA of the BLE.

She is survived by a son, Robert M. Ledwell, Sr. of Fairview; a foster daughter, Orean Straw of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Robert M. Ledwell, Jr. and Tony Ledwell of Asheville, Theodore James Ledwell of Fletcher, and Courtney and Allison Straw; and a foster grandson, Ted Straw and his wife Margaret, of Waynesboro, VA.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
