Louise S. McKericher

Louise S. McKericher, 80, of 6 Griffing Boulevard, Asheville, died Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Memorial Campus, Mission Hospitals. A native of Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Hazel Poovey Setzer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. McKericher. Mrs. McKericher resided in Asheville for most of her life, but worked with her husband in the marketing and advertising business in Charlotte. She was a former member of the Country Club of Asheville, and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. Mrs. McKericher is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bebber; sons, David S. Bebber and Doug Bebber and his wife, Debbie; "adopted son" Tom Ressler; step-daughter, Carolyn Atkins; sister, Doris Sigmon; granddaughter, Emily A. Bebber; step-grandchildren, Alex, Elizabeth, and Robin Atkins; and two nephews, Robert and Richard Hager. A funeral service for Mrs. McKericher will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010, in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Revs. Jane Smith and Gary Coffey officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 P.M, Friday at Sharon Memorial Park, in Charlotte. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
