Loy Fortner, 79, passed away Aug 4, 2021.
A son of the late Liege and Robbie Davis Fortner, Loy was also preceded in death by one brother, Roy Fortner.
He is survived by one son, Lloyd Fortner and his wife Dena, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Loy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Faith Independent Baptist Church (5 Ivy Park Drive, Weaverville NC 28787) and the family will greet friends at the church following the celebration.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Loy’s name to Faith Independent Baptist Church at the address listed above.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
