Lucille A. Mason

Lucille Aldridge Mason, 81, formerly of 122 Edwards Avenue, Swannanoa, died Saturday, November 20, 1999, at the Elderberry Health Care
Center in Marshall, where she had lived for two years.

Mrs. Mason was born in Avery County and was a daughter of the late Abe and Nina Dishman Aldridge.  She was married to Lawrence Babe Mason, former game warden at Bee Tree Lake, and was also preceded in  death by a son, Richard
Mason.  She was a member of Faith Tabernacle.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Pruette of Black Mountain, Vivian Taylor of Weaverville, and Teressa Smith of Arden;  four sons, Mack Mason of Arden, David Mason of Cumming, GA, Garry Mason of Fairview, and Tim Mason of Hollywood, FL;  sixteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.  Mrs.
Mason was one of thirteen children, with two now remaining, Nemi Greggs and Daniel Aldridge, both of Melbourne, FL.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel
of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. R.E. Conner and T.S. Lipe officiating.  Burial will be in the Black Mountain City Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 1 - 3 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
