Mabel Ray Davidson Kiser, 92, of Chinquapin Trail, Fairview, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Flesher’s Fairview Health Care Center.
Mrs. Kiser was a Buncombe Co. native and was a daughter of the late W.C. and Junia F. Davidson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Kiser; sister, Ethel Stephens; and brothers, Howard, Alvin, and John Davidson.
Mrs. Kiser was a member of Oakley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Griffin, of Fairview, and Barbara King, of Mills River; granddaughters, Kristy Hoyle, and Jennifer Jackson; grandson, Robert Griffin and wife Ruby; great-granddaughter, Hartlee Hoyle; great-grandsons, Joshua Jackson, Eli Jackson, and Caleb Griffin; nieces, Billie S. Rayl, and Sally Gunn; several great-nieces and nephews; and special friend, Betty Arrowood.
A graveside service for Mrs. Kiser will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Russell Pierce officiating.

Nancy I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I have many fond memories of her from CP Clare, where she worked for a very long time. She was so sweet & joyful. She is like that again in Heaven…she will be having such a joyful time. May God Bless you & give you comfort.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom and grandmother, Mabel. I loved her very much and miss seeing her, she was a very funny lady! Always enjoyed times spent with her and will cherish those memories. Know that you’re in my prayers. We miss you guys. Take care and comfort knowing that she’s in Heaven watching over those of us left behind.
