Mae Harris Rector Coffey, 96, of 119 Fairfax Avenue, Asheville, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000.
Mrs. Coffey was a daughter of the late William H. and Arsenie Moore Warren and had lived in Asheville for 58 years. She was a retired buyer for Belks Department Stores and a member of
Foster Memorial Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mabel Alisch and by two sons, L.C. Harris and Arnold Rector.
She is survived by a daughter, Dodie Lawrence of
Grandy, NC; a son, Charles Harris of Virginia Beach, VA; a step-daughter, Retha Sluder;
thirteen grandchildren and a number of great- and
great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Phillips officiating.
Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 Friday at the funeral home.
