Mamie Reynolds Boggs, 79, of 111 Belmont Avenue, Asheville, died
Monday, November 16, 1998, in an Asheville health care center.
Mrs. Boggs was born in Copper Hill, TN, was a daughter of the late
Joseph and Laura Anne Barnes Reynolds, and was married to Archibald
Pickens Boggs, who died in 1961. She was also preceded in death by a
daughter, Mary Ann McKinney in 1994. She had lived in Buncombe
County since 1971, and was retired from Kearfott.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat Elliott of Asheville and Janie
Wood of Waynesville; a son, James Boggs of Asheville, eight grandchildren
and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday at Turkey Creek Baptist
Church, Pisgah Forest, where she was a member, with the Revs. Carl
Presnell, Tommy Carlisle and Tommy Owen officiating. Burial will be in
the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 PM Tuesday at Groce
Funeral Home where Mrs. Boggs will remain until being placed in the
church 30 minutes prior to the service.
