Mapel Jean McNemar

Mapel Jean Squires McNemar, 89, of Asheville, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge. A native of Morgantown, WV, she was a daughter of the late Alva Ray and Mapel Reat Kisner Squires. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold McNemar. Mrs. McNemar is survived by her daughters, Dianna LaBreck and husband Bob, Darlene Whisenant, and Denise Hughes and husband Greg; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday in Orlando, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
