Margaret Bailey, 92, of Oteen, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Aston Park Health Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, and husband of 53 years, C. L. Bailey.
She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Faye and Gary Boyd of Knoxville, TN, Brenda and Tim Stamey of Lawrenceville, GA, and Sharon and Mark Biggs of Fairview, NC; two grandchildren, Dr. Jenny Boyd and husband, Conrad Hayter of Chapel Hill, NC, and Brian Stamey of Jefferson, GA; and beloved niece, Eileene Griffith of Montgomery, AL.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Michael MacDonald officiating.
Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.

I am very sorry to learn of Margaret’s passing. But I do rejoice that she’s now in Heaven with Jesus and all her family members who preceded her. We were acquainted when she attended First Christian Church when it was on Oak St. in Asheville. She was a lovely person and was missed by the congregation after we moved to Candler.
