Margaret Bridges Register

Fletcher – Margaret Bridges Register, 85, of 7 Doshia Lane, died October 17, 2011. A native of Valdosta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alice Fender Bridges and was also preceded in death by her husband, Buren S. Register, Sr. and her son, Buren "Joe" Register, Jr. She was a resident of Fletcher for the past 13 years and was a member of Mills River Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Berthelot of Fletcher; her son, Billy Register and his wife, Lisa, of Morristown, TN; 6 grandchildren, Tiffany Reagan of Fletcher; Tonya Koslo and her husband, Tim, of Fredericksburg, VA; Shannon Cross and her husband, Kevin, of Asheville; Josh Register of Morristown, TN; Saundra Gimby and her husband, Paul, of Atlanta; and Bill Register and his wife, Shelly, of Cleveland, OH; 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She will be sadly missed by her dog, Sadie. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by Pastor Thomas Glenn. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home on Long Shoals Road.
