Margaret Davis Ayers, 76, of 72 Martel Village, Asheville, died Saturday, September 2, 2000 at the
Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late M. L. and Polly Bonham Davis. She was the wife of the late G. L. Ayers and was also preceded in death by a brother Weaver J. Davis. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and a member of Elk Mountain Baptist
Church.
She is survived by her sister, Mildred Morrow of Asheville; and two brothers, Troy Dean Davis of Asheville and Herbert Davis of Swannanoa.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
Reverends Dean Huggins and Tony Combs will officiate with burial following in Elk Mountain Community Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
