Margaret Elkins Taylor, 63, of 76 Bear Farm Road, Candler, died Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Mission Hospitals.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Wilsie McFee Elkins. Mrs. Taylor graduated from Enka High School and worked at Filmon Processing Company in Arden for 12 years and had also been employed at Square D. She was a member of Brown’s View United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles “Lee” Taylor; two daughters, Angie T. Bugg and husband Gary of Candler and Anita T. Hood and boyfriend Kenny Meade of Candler; a sister, Frances Lance of Skyland and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Brown’s View United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ed Worley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

God looked around his garden and found an empty place.He then looked down upon this Earth and saw your tired face.He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.God’s garden must be beautiful,he always takes the best.
He knew you were suffering,he knew you were in pain.He knew that you would never get well on Earth again.
He saw that the road was getting rough,and the hills were harder to climb.So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered ‘Please by Thine.’
It broke our hearts to lose you,but you didn’t go alone.For part of us went with you,the day God called you home.
It feels funny not having you around anymore,and at first we didn’t know how to deal with it.But we all knew this day would come,we just didn’t know it would’ve been so soon.There for a while I felt like I,myself could’ve done something to stop you from going,but then I saw you were in a better place and it was no one’s fault.
We will always love and miss you,so this is good-bye until we meet again.
