My sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of Margaret. She was an inspiration to me and many other DSS Directors
throughout the state of North Carolina.

To Jim Coman:
Jim,
My deepest sympathies on the passing of your Mom. I have very fond memories of her, the plates of vegetables she always ate at dinner (incredible to a young kid), her driving us to school all those days at Ira B. Jones and so on. Your Mom was quite a terrific woman. All the best at this difficult time. Marc Sandman
I am sure that my husband Ed Neves would join me in expressing my sympathy to Margaret’s family and friends. She will be remembered fondly by both of us. She was a very special friend of Ed’s, having been one of the County DSS Directors who worked with him as he progressed from social worker to the Western Regional Director. He is currently out of town, having left after work on Tuesday, so probably does not know of Margaret’s death.
