Margaret Jordan Orr, 84, died on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at her residence.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late William Arthur and Lillian Mae Alexander Jordan. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, and two brothers.
Mrs. Orr had most recently been attending Sunrise Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Orr, and son, James William Orr, of Asheville, who worked at Mills Manufacturing.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Buddy Corbin officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.

Dear Uncle Bill and James,
I was very sorry to hear about Aunt Margaret. I have very special memories of us before you were even married and of us all growing up together. I know that you both will miss her alot but she is in a better place and you don’t have to see her suffer and not be herself.
