Drive, Asheville, died Friday,
September 5, 2003, at her home.
Mrs. Middleton was born in
Grand ‘Mere, Quebec, Canada, and
was married to Ralph I. Middleton
who died in 1966. She was a former
Unit Secretary at Memorial Mission
Hospital and was a member at the
Basilica of St. Lawrence.
She is survived by a sister
Cecile Petit and a niece, Jacqueline
Desaulniers, both of Grand ‘Mere,
Canada.
A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Joseph
Dinh at 12:10 pm Monday at the
Basilica of St. Lawrence. Burial will
be at St. John in the Wilderness, Flat
Rock.
A Rosary will be recited at
6:00 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral
Home on Patton Avenue.

To the family of Alice Middleton. My family was a friend to Mr. and Mrs. Middleton for many, many years before Ralph’s death and afterward. My mother and she worked many years together at Mission hospital and lived on the same street until my father’s death.
I remember her as being the beautiful lady with the wonderful French accent. She and I shared a love for cats, and now she is with Baby Girl, and her wonderful husband Ralph. How wonderful it must be for her.
My deepest sympathy go out to all of you and I am sure she will be missed.
