Marie Gasperson Case, 74, of 9 Case Road, Asheville, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mrs. Case was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Mans and Martha Wood Gasperson. She was a former bookkeeper for Tip-Top Photo and was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Terrell Case; one son, Tim Case of Asheville; one grandson, Jason Case of Asheville; and two sisters, Dessie Murray of Fort Lawn, SC and Irene Coy of Arden. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. G.H. Shope officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
