Marie Gilbert Wilson

Marie Cecile Gilbert Wilson, 95, of Fairview, died at home on Thursday, January 12, 2017. A native of Franklin, NH, Marie was a daughter of the late Joseph Albert and Alice Cote Gilbert. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Florence Gilbert, and brothers, Albert Gilbert and Edward Gilbert. Mrs. Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving for 9½ years. She later retired from Singer Kearfott Corp., in Swannanoa. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughters, Nancy Wilson, Juanita Wilson Fitts, and JoAnn Gilley; sister, Madeline Marceau; granddaughters, Melissa Gilley and Sara Plourde, sister-in-law, Emily Metcalf, brother-in-law, Jack Wilson; as well as several nieces and nephews. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
