Marjorie Louise Duncan

Mrs. Duncan was a native of Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Edward and Ethel McMahon Carson,  She was married to Donald Duncan, who died in 1943, and was also preceded in death by an infant son.  She retired as Branch Manager for NCNB after 36 years service, and attended Beaverdam Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sisters, Nora Lee Edwards, Shirley Tate, and Betty Jean Nallia;  two brothers, James Carson and Frank Carson, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Moseley officiating.  Burial will be in Lewis Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of James Carson, 43 Stradwood Place.
