Mark Arthur Ownbey, age 52, a lifelong resident of Fairview, NC, left this earth on Sunday, May 10, 2015.
Mark was born on March 22, 1963 in Buncombe County. He is survived by his two sons, Matthew Mark Ownbey and Daniel Benjamin Ownbey; his parents, Arthur and Maxine Ownbey of Fairview; his brother, Keith Ownbey and wife Michelle and daughter Alexandria, of Fairview; and his sister, Teresa Brooks and husband Jeff and their children Jeffrey, Shelby, and Samantha, of Radford, VA.
Mark worked as senior tool maker at Atlas Precision for 18 years.
He was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and enjoyed fishing, golf, and loved watching his son, Daniel Ownbey wrestle. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Nesbitt's Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lawrence Ownbey officiating. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.

Daniel and Ownbey family, Please accept out heartfelt condolences in the loss of your father. We have seen him so many times from all the way back when Daniel led the Hominy Youth Wrestling when he was in high school, up to this last clinic that Daniel had at the high school.
