Mark Winford Sumner

Arden – Mark W. Sumner, 71, of Sumner Drive, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006. A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late P.V. Sumner and Grace Bailey Sumner West. Mark was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a former employee of the Library of Congress as a heating and air conditioning engineer. He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Fore Sumner; son, David Huggins, and his wife Suzanne, of Winston Salem, and their four children, Selena, Kimberly, Jessica and Mark Huggins. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Rev. Carl Bishop. Interment will follow in Calvary Churchyard. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
