Martha Elizabeth Williams Redmon, 91, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018.
A native of West Asheville, Martha was the daughter of the late Luther and Bertha Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richmon M. Redmon, Sr., and by her brother, Morris Williams.
Mrs. Redmon was a member of Deaverview Baptist Church, where she lovingly served as a children's Sunday School teacher for at least three generations.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon R. Brown and her husband, Bob; son, Richmon M. Redmon, Jr.; grandson, Matt Brown and his wife, Kendra, and a soon to be born great-grandson, Jameson Matthew Brown; and special sister-in-law, Ivorine Williams.
Funeral services for Mrs. Redmon will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15 in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Pastors Jeremy Woods and Kelvin Moseley officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

I’m sorry to hear of Martha’s passing, but I know she’s in a better place. Oh, to be with Jesus and reunited with loved ones! I remember when I was just a little girl how Martha would bring her sweet little mother to Trinity on Sunday nights and how special they both were. You will surely miss Martha but may you be comforted in knowing you will see her again. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
