Martha Hyatt Levi, 89, of 30 W. Oak View Road, Asheville, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Rosanne Moody Hyatt. She was also preceded in death by her husband Herman E. Levi who died in 1999. She was retired from Square D and was a member of Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Willena Ann Levi Cantrell of Asheville; two sons, Ray Richard Levi and Herbert E. Levi, both of Candler; two sisters, Bonnie Jarrett of Candler and Carrie Mae Stevens of Mobile, AL; two brothers, Melvin Hyatt and Junior Hyatt, both of Candler; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Higgins officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.

    So sorry to hear about your Mother. I did not find out until last night at church. I was not able to come today but I have had you all in my thoughts and prayers.
