Martha Jean Austin

Mrs. Austin was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter
of the late Pat and Daisy Lunsford Penland.  She was married to the late Willard Russell Austin and was a former employee of Memorial Mission
Hospital.

She is survived by a sister, Alline Austin, and two brothers, Zeb Penland and Clyde Penland, all of Asheville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald N. Welborn  officiating.  Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
