Martha Lena Whitaker Davis, 83, formerly of Concord Road, Fletcher, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at the Brian Center in Weaverville.
A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Leonard W. and Mary Dotson Whitaker.
She is survived by her sister, Rebecca Whitaker of Weaverville; a brother, Henson Whitaker and wife Jean of Mars Hill; a niece and nephew and two great nieces.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
