Mary Belle Marshall Lance, 94, of Asheville, NC went home to be with the Lord on August 1, 2017. She retired from Grove Park Inn and was a member of Biltmore United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by husbands Walter Alan Marshall and Morris Parker Lance.

Surviving family members include daughters Betsy Ramsey of Blairsville, GA, Sue (and Glenn) Whitaker of Stockbridge, GA, and Diane Howard of Raleigh, NC; sons, Larry Marshall of Asheville, NC and Barry (and Rita) Marshall of Ft. Madison, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; and over 20 great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Lance will be held at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. Family will receive friends on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Biltmore United Methodist Church, Ministry Fund, 376 Hendersonville Rd., Asheville, NC 28803.
