Mary Dolly Reay

Mary Wilcox "Dolly" Reay, 93, of 15 Dogwood Court, Candler, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Elizabeth House, Flat Rock. A native of Rhine, GA, Mrs. Reay was a daughter of the late Oscar Eugene and Frances Elizabeth Carr Wilcox. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin White, who died in 1987, her second husband, Bryce Reay, who died in 2007; and her seven brothers and sisters. Mrs. Reay was a registered nurse who had most recently served at Park Ridge Hospital. She will be remembered as a loving friend and avid gardener. She had been a Seventh-day Adventist since 1933 and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Seventh-day Adventist Church. She is survived by her sons, David White and wife Mary-Alice, of Candler, and Carroll White and wife Penny White, of Cleveland, TN; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Pisgah Academy Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Buz Menhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening at the church.
