Mary Elizabeth Works

Mary Elizabeth Bowman Works, 72, of Asheville, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her residence. A native of Hope, AR, she was a daughter of Sallie Pharr Bowman and of the late James Louie Bowman. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Martha. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Tom Works; two sons, Craig and Chris Works; one brother, James Bowman; a special aunt, Dorothy Reese, as well as five grandchildren. Mary was a member of Skyland First Baptist Church and was the Queen of the Precious Gems Red Hat Society. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Skyland First Baptist Church with Pastor David Honeycutt and Dr. Perry Brindley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM on Saturday at the church.
