Mary Esther Moore, 89, of Curtis Drive, Arden, died Monday, December 27, 2004.
A native of Unicoi Co., Tenn., she was the daughter of the late C.V. and Jane Ray Treadway. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Moore, who died in 2000; her son, Dwight Edwards and a grandson, D.W. Edwards.
Mrs. Moore was a member of Skyland Baptist Church and a retired employee of Gerber.
She is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Miller of Arden, and Inez Metcalf of Flag Pond, TN; two brothers, Charles Treadway of Enka and John Treadway of Hull, GA; a daughter-in-law, Betty Edwards of Arden; two granddaughters, Diane Maney and Sandra Bass, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the Skyland Baptist Church conducted by the Revs. Perry Brindley and Cecil Robinson. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Dear Aunt Evelyn, my heart and prayers go out to you and Mama Moore’s families. As you know she was an very special part of the Chambers Family. Thank you both for the wonderful memories we share. We send our condolences to the family of Esther Moore. I remember when Warren and Esther started to Skyland Baptist Church. We all loved them. They were a very sweet couple. I am so sorry to hear about your dear sister. I will always remember your sitting in Fullerton and sharing with me about her.
